Project story

What changed—and why

This wonderful couple initially planned to update their kitchen by adding more counter space and cabinetry, aiming for a functional and inviting space. Teknik helped them see how they could expand the remodel to include the dining and family areas, staying within their budget while transforming the entire first floor. This connected layout enhances entertaining options and natural lighting, complete with custom cabinetry and a cozy fireplace.

The original 40-year-old layout was restrictive, but Teknik successfully reconfigured it to maximize space, achieving a modern, cohesive design. Teknik redesigned the floor plan, adding custom cabinetry, opening up the kitchen to the dining area, and creating a unified, bright space. A central fireplace now enhances the warmth and ambiance in the family area.
